Building services maintenance:

 

Pace Heating & Plumbing offers mechanical and electrical, preventative and reactive service, maintenance and repair for a wide variety of building services equipment, whether or not this has been supplied by Pace Heating & Plumbing. Our specialities are smoke control and fire protection systems, ventilation and general HVAC equipment and their associated controls and ancillaries.

 

What services we offer

Service means providing you with a tailored maintenance regime to ensure optimum product performance, whilst ensuring that legislative obligations are met. In the event of equipment malfunction, service means a fast and efficient call-out and repair process.

Pace Heating & Plumbing offers a range of services which may be tailored to meet your exact building services maintenance requirements:

 

  • Programmed preventative maintenance.
  • We will work to ensure that your equipment is in optimum running order. For customers with a maintenance contract an emergency helpdesk is available with an out of hours call out facility, which is manned 24 hours, 365 days a year. A test certificate will be issued for Gas systems.
  • 24/7 emergency call-out.
  • Spare parts service.
  • Repair and refurbishment of existing systems regardless of who is the manufacturer.
  • Advice on regulatory compliance and certification for gas control systems.
  • Design support to you to optimize the performance of your installed equipment, should alterations to the building fabric or function be necessary.
  • A post-order free full system check. This can be carried out approximately 9 months after a Gas control system has been installed and commissioned by Pace Heating & Plumbing, allowing the opportunity to check that the system is performing as designed. Assuming that this visit falls within the warranty period, any defective parts are replaced free of charge. A test certificate will be issued.

In all cases both labour and parts are covered for 12 months unless otherwise agreed.

No matter how well equipment has been designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned, the possibility for failure cannot be ignored.

Programmed preventative maintenance can extend the life of an item, and reduce the likelihood of down-time. Such a programme also may permit the equipment to be updated in line with the latest technological advances and standards.

Your obligations

For life safety equipment such as gas control systems, the building operator or owner is required by law to provide a suitable system of maintenance to maintain the system in efficient working order and in good repair. This is a requirement of the Regulatory HSE (Gas Safety) Order 2005. "The gas control system should be maintained by a competent person who is familiar with the gas safety performance specifications of that specific system." Pace Heating & Plumbing can advise you on the scope of these Regulations.

 

 

Water Testing London – Pace Heating & Plumbing provides a full water testing and water analysis service for commercial buildings in London. Regular monitoring of water quality and the risk of Legionella outbreaks can potentially save lives as well as costs.

Working with businesses, building managers and landlords in and around London we provide water testing and water analysis.  This service includes checking water quality, the risk of Legionella outbreaks and water chlorination testing.

Water Testing & Analysis

Legionella testing

An outbreak of Legionnaire’s disease can be costly in terms of people’s health, negative PR and the risk of liability claims. Businesses, landlords and building managers have a duty of care to their employees, clients and visitors to ensure that the risk of an outbreak of Legionnaire’s disease is controlled.

Legionella testing serves to avoid potential outbreaks of Legionnaire’s disease which in some cases can be fatal. Periodic Legionella testing ensures that water and air conditioning systems remain healthy and free from the bacteria which causes this and other diseases. Regular testing will also highlight any potential risks before an outbreak occurs.

We work with Landlords and Building Managers offering a full water testing service. Many of our clients rely on us to carry out regular Legionella testing to ensure that their ISO accreditations remain up to date and valid.

Water Chlorination

Water systems and water storage tanks can harbour potentially dangerous bacteria and therefore need to be properly maintained. Water chlorination is a vital part of building management as poor water quality can result in the breakout of illness and disease.

We carry out a full water chlorination service for commercial buildings in and around London and offer this as a standalone service or as part of our ongoing building maintenance programmes.
